Court Bennett, a native of Sandy, Utah, received his BFA in sculpture from Utah State
University in 1996 and his MFA in sculpture at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia,
PA, in 2003. His sculptures are hand-constructed bio-mechanical forms, which combine
materials in unconventional, dark and humorous ways.
Court's exhibitions include: Court Bennett:New Work at Salt Lake City's Rose Wagner
Center for the Performing Arts, a mass-juried exhibition with Projekt30.com in 2006, an
invitational exhibition at the Dunedin Fine Arts Center in Dunedin, Florida entitled The Artist
as Inventor in 2007, and The Face of Utah Sculpture VI in 2010. Currently he is working
on a new solo exhibition for the Carr Gallery in Idaho Falls, Idaho entitled Funny, Cuddly,
Creepy, Sexy, Beautiful.
He has served as juror for student exhibitions at Hillcrest, Bingham and Brighton High
Schools in the Salt Lake Valley and works as a technician and graphic artist for AlphaLab,
Inc.
